The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The crowd rose to their feet as Cordeara Igay kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gabriel Outon. That made the score 1-0 in the 4 minute of play. Zelipe Nebot who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 7thth minute tested the skills of Gabriel Outon when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gabriel Outon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zelipe Nebot, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Zelipe Nebot did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Gabriel Outon 12 minutes into the match. Gabriel Outon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cordeara Igay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cordeara Igay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. RedBull Maracaibo's Gabriel Outon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zelipe Nebot in the 17th minute of play. Zelipe Nebots short, quick shot in the 18thth minute got Gabriel Outon to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 27thth minute of the game Zelipe Nebot who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but RedBull Maracaibo's Gabriel Outon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cordeara Igay's late challenge caught a RedBull Maracaibo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cordeara Igay helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of RedBull Maracaibo booed when Deportivo Galicia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cordeara Igay didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maiorga Espriella in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gabriel Outon saved RedBull Maracaibo from getting behind. Deportivo Galicia's Cordeara Igay got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 43rd play minute Zelipe Nebot came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Gabriel Outon. 5-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pagomari Alebio was the one to do the kick off. Cordeara Igay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Outon having to interfere. 54 minutes into the match, RedBull Maracaibo's goal looked a bit too open when Zelipe Nebot came free, but Gabriel Outon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55th match minute, Deportivo Galicia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabian Cordearo to maneuver through the defense. In the 57th minute of the match, Johans Novales got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dong was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 58th minute, Maiorga Espriella got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 62nd minute, Cordeara Igay made a precise shot to the right of Gabriel Outon. RedBull Maracaibo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Deportivo Galicia made a substitution. Ekialde Urtaza replaced Zelipe Nebot. Deportivo Galicia's Cilio Candana was substituted for Cordeara Igay. In the 68th minute Ekialde Urtaza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Outon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Deportivo Galicia fans' excitement grew in the 71st match minute when Deportivo Galicia's Ekialde Urtaza looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ekialde Urtaza scored 9-0 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gabriel Outon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cilio Candana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
