Alianza FC were awarded a corner in the 70th minute after Deportivo Nirgua FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Reno Chavarria took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Deportivo Nirgua FC's goalie and right to Sorin Hreapcă. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Nirgua FC's Berdaitz Mandelo got a free kick in the 95th minute. With a little luck, Deportivo Nirgua FC's Camilo Escudero got control of the ball when César Domingues tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Alianza FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Deportivo Nirgua FC.
