After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Monroe Spears managed to get in a good position for a shot. New River FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Monroe Spears was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Glenn Kendrick breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Glenn Kendrick managed to avoid a goal in the 11thth minute, when New River FC's Monroe Spears fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 13 minutes into the match, New River FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dalton Bender came free, but Craig Gillespie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dario Colbert's late challenge caught a New River FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dario Colbert helped the player get up and apologised. 19 minutes into the match, Noah Daley dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Glenn Kendrick, 1-0. Noah Daley could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Glenn Kendrick made a huge save. When Noah Daley came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the New River FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Noah Daley couldn't finish the play. 42 minutes into the match, Homestead FC's goal looked a bit too open when Noah Daley came free, but Glenn Kendrick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. J.P. Lawson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Glenn Kendrick came out and tried to block the shot, but J.P. Lawson slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 46th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dalton Bender made a kick off. Donovan Joseph recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Homestead FC's zone, Monroe Spears stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Glenn Kendrick came out of the goal and Monroe Spears tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kris Overton during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kris Overton kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, New River FC's Noah Daley sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Glenn Kendrick narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Donovan Joseph in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Glenn Kendrick prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, New River FC's Donovan Joseph got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the last second Craig Gillespie throw himself and got hold of the ball when Dalton Bender in the 68thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. After 73 played minutes, Homestead FC's Cyrus Walden shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Craig Gillespie came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Homestead FC reached it. Noah Daley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Glenn Kendrick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If J.P. Lawson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Noah Daley in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. New River FC's Craig Gillespie proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save New River FC from getting a goal against them. 96 minutes into the match, Homestead FC's goal looked a bit too open when Noah Daley came free, but Glenn Kendrick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. New River FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
