Jamel Carroll showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcellus Pollard, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Jamel Carroll took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcellus Pollard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 15 minutes, Tom Barron managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Delmont FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tom Barron was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eli Boyd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cyrus Davenport, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Eli Boyd made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shawn Gauthier in the 26th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Dwayne Matthews got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 33rd minute, Slinger FC's Cyrus Davenport dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 36th minute, Marcellus Pollard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Weldon Pina hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. After 40 played minutes, Delmont FC's Marcellus Pollard shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jamel Carroll came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Delmont FC reached it. Delmont FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Marcellus Pollard in the 47th minute. The Slinger FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Delmont FC were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcellus Pollard stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Slinger FC's Weldon Pina got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Marcellus Pollard blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jamel Carroll having to make a save. After 74 played minutes Slinger FC got a freekick which was hit by Stanton Buckley. Marcellus Pollard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jamel Carroll having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Edward Joseph hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Weldon Pina hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Delmont FC's Dwayne Matthews got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jamel Carroll made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcellus Pollard in the 94th minute. Delmont FC played a much better game than Slinger FC and deserved their victory. The Slinger FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
