The audience was convinced that Gregorio Begay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bronson Vaughn was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Randolph Medley received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Teddy Kirkpatrick came out and tried to block the shot, but Randolph Medley slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 29th minute. Teddy Kirkpatrick made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Randolph Medley sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, George West FC's Teddy Kirkpatrick got control of the ball when Randolph Medley tried to sneak it across the goal line. The wind increased when Benny Contreras made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Abernathy AFC booed when George West FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tyson Schmidt didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Randolph Medley in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teddy Kirkpatrick saved George West FC from getting behind. Benny Contreras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Bates charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos Bates the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Abernathy AFC's Carlos Bates got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 61st minute, Ernest Chadwick sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Abernathy AFC's Bronson Vaughn didn't even have to move. 64 minutes in the game, Derek Ryder dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. George West FC's Gregorio Begay got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gregorio Begay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Bronson Vaughn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Abernathy AFC's goalkeeper Bronson Vaughn, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Derek Ryder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Derek Ryder came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the George West FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Derek Ryder couldn't finish the play. Abernathy AFC's Carlos Bates got his second yellow card of the match in the 85th minute. The referee ordered Carlos Bates off the ground. After 87 played minutes Abernathy AFC got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Bates. Derek Ryder might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bronson Vaughn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Derek Ryder ran back to his position shaking his head. Gregorio Begay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bronson Vaughn having to interfere.
