Spectators: 7287 (Terracing: 5570, Seating: 1707, VIP seats: 10) Chicago Pierogi's Pete Miller played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Busch in the 10th minute of play. Pierre Handy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. John Dudley hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Joseph Osborne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pete Miller having to interfere. The Groton AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Ronnie Boyd kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joseph Osborne made a kick off.
