Federico Johnson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ted Braxton, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Ted Braxton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Federico Johnson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Henry Berniers short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got Federico Johnson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Manassas FC's Casey McGuire got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 66th minute Casey McGuire shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Pujols saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 67 minutes, Randolph Rangel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kellogg FC and the Manassas FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Casey McGuire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 71 played minutes Kellogg FC got a freekick which was hit by Ari Doran. Ari Doran charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Kellogg FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
