Peter Jennings showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elliot Downey, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Zack Humphries hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Elliot Downey's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 47thth minute, Peter Jennings skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leif Harding stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Glen Connolly blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Peter Jennings having to make a save. Algona AFC's Peter Jennings played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elliot Downey in the 56th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Glen Connolly got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 63 minutes into the match, Elliot Downey notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Algona AFC's Peter Jennings. Peter Jennings was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 67 minutes into the match, Peterborough AFC's Elliot Downey sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Peter Jennings narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hank Kurtz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peter Jennings guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glen Connolly in the 95th minute of play forced Algona AFC's goalkeeper Peter Jennings to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the Peterborough AFC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
