Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Carterville's Ricardo Sharp started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rick Madison made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Willie Looney in the 8th minute of play. Rick Madison showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Willie Looney, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Willie Looney recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willie Looney in the 19th minute of play forced Carterville's goalkeeper Rick Madison to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Carterville's goal looked a bit too open when Willie Looney came free, but Rick Madison reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Devin Yoshioka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Torben Fellenius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Ricardo Sharp dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Torben Fellenius, 1-0. Attica FC's Willie Looney got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Willie Looney struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Rick Madison didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Attica FC. When Timmy Cole fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Attica FC's protests and gave Timmy Cole a yellow card for diving instead. After 42 played minutes Attica FC got a freekick which was hit by Timmy Cole. 44 minutes into the match, Carterville's Devin Yoshioka sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Torben Fellenius narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Willie Looney was the one to do the kick off. Titus McNeil in the 51stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rick Madison, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 60 played minutes Attica FC got a freekick which was hit by Clayton Bullock. If Willie Looney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The attack was good, but when Willie Looney in the 65th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Titus McNeil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Rick Madison tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eddy Peterson charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eddy Peterson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Carterville's Eddy Peterson got a free kick in the 76th minute. Willie Looney recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Timmy Cole was shown his second yellow card after 79 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Carterville booed when Attica FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timmy Cole didn't get a good kick on the ball. 84 minutes into the game, Willie Looney cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Rick Madison was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Attica FC's Torben Fellenius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Sharp in the 88th minute of play. Titus McNeil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Rick Madison tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Tuan Cornett got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Titus McNeil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Clayton Bullock's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 94thth minute, Rick Madison skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 96 minutes into the match, Carterville's goalkeeper Rick Madison had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Titus McNeil. Attica FC played a much better game than Carterville and deserved their victory. The Carterville players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
