Seating: 1702, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Weldon Dietz kicked off to start the match. Emmitt Garcia scored 1-0 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Josh Kane, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 11 minutes into the match, Boscobel's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Brunson came free, but Neil Shipp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Pontotoc booed when Boscobel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nick Wooten didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pontotoc's Jared Walsh couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 19th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Boscobel. After 25 played minutes Boscobel got a freekick which was hit by Tyrese Dubois. In the 26th minute, Casper Dempsey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 27 played minutes, Pontotoc's Jared Walsh shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Neil Shipp came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pontotoc reached it. A collision led to Boscobel getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Darren Cesario hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marlon Meredith in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Neil Shipp prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marlon Meredith in the 34th minute of play forced Boscobel's goalkeeper Neil Shipp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Marlon Meredith notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Boscobel's Neil Shipp. Neil Shipp was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marlon Meredith struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Neil Shipp didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pontotoc. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vicente Brunson in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Neil Shipp saved Boscobel from getting behind. Vicente Brunson scored 1-2 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Neil Shipp, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.
The wind increased when Marlon Meredith made the kick off in the second half. Boscobel's Neil Shipp proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Boscobel from getting a goal against them. Vicente Brunson struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Neil Shipp didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pontotoc. Josh Kane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emmitt Garcia in the 88th minute of play. Emmitt Garcia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 96th minute, Steven Stinson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match was over Pontotoc could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Boscobel throughout the match.
