In the 44th play minute Cody Armenta came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Barry Villalobos. 3-0. Cody Armenta might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Barry Villalobos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Matt Herrera made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Borrego Springs's Rodolfo Naylor ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Reyes Keane. Reyes Keane yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. Cody Armenta scored 4-1 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Barry Villalobos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cody Armenta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Barry Villalobos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th minute George Harper shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barry Villalobos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adolfo Vaughan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cody Armenta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 90 minutes of play, Boston's Cody Armenta made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net.
