Archie Burnett stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of David Pratt's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. Johnathon Douglas scored 1-0 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jim Zepeda, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 14th minute Vernon Schmitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jim Zepeda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Johnathon Douglas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jim Zepeda having to interfere. Vernon Schmitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jim Zepeda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vernon Schmitz in the 20th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Lacombe FC's Antonio Hinds got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Fred Bachman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling David Pratt in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Archie Burnett prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 28th minute, Johnathon Douglas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If David Pratt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute, Flint Ames hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jim Zepeda acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 41st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Moses Pickens. Benjamin Conway, 45 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal.

After 54 played minutes Green Forest got a freekick which was hit by Fred Bachman. In the 58th minute, Renaldo Madsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vernon Schmitz in the 61st minute of play forced Green Forest's goalkeeper Jim Zepeda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Johnathon Douglas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jim Zepeda having to interfere. In the 68th match minute, Green Forest was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flint Ames to maneuver through the defense. Vernon Schmitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Jim Zepeda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th match minute, Lacombe FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sergio McKay to maneuver through the defense. Johnathon Douglas might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jim Zepeda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Johnathon Douglas ran back to his position shaking his head. Archie Burnett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Pratt in the 87th minute of the match. Neil Rosenthal charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Neil Rosenthal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Green Forest booed when Lacombe FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Neil Rosenthal didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 91 minutes, David Pratt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Green Forest's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Pratt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 93rd minute David Pratt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Archie Burnett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Green Forest were awarded a corner in the 95th minute after Lacombe FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Benjamin Conway took the corner. Lacombe FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
