Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Kris Wilkinson took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute of the match Barry Andersen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Theron Betts showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Vance Pacheco charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vance Pacheco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gustavo Saenz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carl North in the 7th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Zack Patterson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Theron Betts was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. 10 minutes into the match, Kris Wilkinson notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Ballwin AFC's Theron Betts. Theron Betts was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Ballwin AFC's zone, Zack Patterson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Theron Betts came out of the goal and Zack Patterson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kris Wilkinson scored 0-2 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Theron Betts, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gilberto Alvaro struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Gustavo Saenz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ballwin AFC. After 23 minutes, Raphael Dent mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Elmwood Place and the Ballwin AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Elmwood Place getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Raphael Dent hit a great ball. Carl North fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Saenz having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kris Wilkinson in the 28th minute of play forced Ballwin AFC's goalkeeper Theron Betts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute, Kris Wilkinson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Elmwood Place fans' excitement grew in the 32nd match minute when Elmwood Place's Kris Wilkinson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Zack Patterson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Theron Betts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kris Wilkinson, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. With a little luck, Elmwood Place's Gustavo Saenz got control of the ball when Gilberto Alvaro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Theron Betts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kris Wilkinson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carl North to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Elmwood Place's Kris Wilkinson got a free kick in the 51st minute. Zack Patterson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theron Betts having to interfere. When Vance Pacheco came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Elmwood Place fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vance Pacheco couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kris Wilkinson in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Theron Betts saved Ballwin AFC from getting behind. Kris Wilkinson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Theron Betts stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kris Wilkinson's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Kris Wilkinson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kris Wilkinson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ballwin AFC's Theron Betts proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Ballwin AFC from getting a goal against them. Kris Wilkinson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theron Betts having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Abdul Sargent hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zack Patterson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. In the 91st minute, Zack Patterson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kris Wilkinson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carl North struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Gustavo Saenz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ballwin AFC. When the final whistle sounded Elmwood Place left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Ballwin AFC.
