The referee ignored Huber Ridge AFC's protests and gave Terrence English a yellow card for diving instead. Terrence English hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute, Erik Luna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Derek King had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 45 minutes, Norman Land managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Huber Ridge AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Norman Land was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Derek King took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cameron Covington. Cameron Covington dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Derek King stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Derek King sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Norman Land had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th match minute, Huber Ridge AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jesus Kimball to maneuver through the defense. Derek King received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Cameron Covington tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cameron Covington took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Derek King, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Norman Land recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Norman Land sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd minute, Norman Land got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 84th match minute, Huber Ridge AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Terrence English to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Huber Ridge AFC booed when Birch Bay FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emerson Clinton didn't get a good kick on the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Derek King dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cameron Covington, 1-4.
