The audience was convinced that Christian Rodrigues's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonas Carlos was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Cottonwood Heights AFC's Stanford Lusk got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Al Willoughby's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 15thth minute, Todd Hilliard skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Al Willoughby kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 19thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Casa Conejo's keeper Todd Hilliard was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Todd Hilliard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stanford Lusk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Stanford Lusk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Al Willoughby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Todd Hilliard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Stanford Lusk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonas Carlos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Rodrigues, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Stanford Lusk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Todd Hilliard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Todd Hilliard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stanford Lusk, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After a rather tough play, Cottonwood Heights AFC's Denis Cooley got a free kick in the 56th minute. Vicente Cortez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Christian Rodrigues got in the 64th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Jonas Carlos handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Rodrigues in the 65th minute of play forced Cottonwood Heights AFC's goalkeeper Jonas Carlos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Todd Hilliard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stanford Lusk in the 72nd minute of the match. Al Willoughby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Todd Hilliard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute Stanford Lusk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Todd Hilliard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute, Anton Vogt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Vicente Cortez came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Casa Conejo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vicente Cortez couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Rodrigues in the 83rd minute of play forced Cottonwood Heights AFC's goalkeeper Jonas Carlos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Stanford Lusk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Renaldo Noel kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. In the 90th minute Al Willoughby shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Todd Hilliard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonas Carlos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christian Rodrigues's shot from short distance in the 94th minute.
