Minko Pehlivanov didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6thth minute of the game Rory Anderson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Almunge IK's Marty Latham was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Almunge IK's zone, Rory Anderson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marty Latham came out of the goal and Rory Anderson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rory Anderson in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marty Latham prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 14 minutes into the match, Almunge IK's goal looked a bit too open when Rory Anderson came free, but Marty Latham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Almunge IK's Minko Pehlivanov quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Davis Dobbs, made in the 28th minute of the game. Rory Anderson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marty Latham having to interfere. Mokena FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 38th minute, when Enoch Chamberlain scored to the left of an out of position Mike Hart, making the score, 1-0. Enoch Chamberlain charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Enoch Chamberlain the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Almunge IK getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Enoch Chamberlain hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Almunge IK's Marty Latham proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Almunge IK from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Almunge IK's Minko Pehlivanov got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Almunge IK's goalkeeper Marty Latham, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 60 played minutes Almunge IK got a freekick which was hit by Enoch Chamberlain. After a rather tough play, Almunge IK's Enoch Chamberlain got a free kick in the 61st minute. Rory Anderson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Marty Latham made a huge save. Rory Andersons short, quick shot in the 65thth minute got Marty Latham to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Rory Anderson did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Marty Latham 65 minutes into the match. Marty Latham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rory Anderson in the 69th minute of the match. A collision led to Almunge IK getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Minko Pehlivanov hit a great ball. In the 74th minute, Mokena FC's Rory Anderson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Almunge IK's zone, Rory Anderson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marty Latham came out of the goal and Rory Anderson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Cole Pineda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Almunge IK's Norberto Silban got a free kick in the 88th minute. In the 89th match minute, Almunge IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toby Laws to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Almunge IK defense, Rory Anderson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marty Latham. The Almunge IK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marty Latham should have stopped the shot. The Almunge IK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mokena FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
