Lucien Bateman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Scot Santiago in the 21st minute of play. After 22 played minutes ROGENE CITY FC got a freekick which was hit by Byron Richey. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Scot Santiago managed to get in a good position for a shot. Erlanger FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Scot Santiago was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucien Bateman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Erlanger FC fans' excitement grew in the 36th match minute when Erlanger FC's Scot Santiago looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Bernardo Shafer made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to ROGENE CITY FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. J.C. Velez hit a great ball. Lucien Bateman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Shafer in the 57th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the match, ROGENE CITY FC's goalkeeper Lucien Bateman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Scot Santiago. If Bernardo Shafer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, ROGENE CITY FC's Cody Lang got a free kick in the 64th minute. Abdul Dawson was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 65th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Mohammed North showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from A.J. Chan, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. A.J. Chan struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Mohammed North didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ROGENE CITY FC. Lucien Bateman made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Scot Santiago sent off a good shot on target. In the 75th match minute, Erlanger FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by J.P. Ladd to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute of the match Giuseppe Lundy shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mohammed North showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 81st minute, Jefferson Burris hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Scot Santiago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 93rdth minute of the game Bernardo Shafer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ROGENE CITY FC's Lucien Bateman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Zachery Parks managed to get in a good position for a shot. Erlanger FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Zachery Parks was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucien Bateman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the final whistle sounded Erlanger FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than ROGENE CITY FC.
