With a little luck, Wasco's Benito Pearson got control of the ball when Cesar Roark tried to sneak it across the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Wasco's Luke Lord sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Giovanni Chase narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alfred Hinkle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Santaquin's Alexis Bermudez got a free kick in the 31st minute. Derrick Yates struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Benito Pearson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santaquin. Derrick Yates was extremely unlucky when he, in the 46th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Derrick Yates was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfred Hinkle in the 58th minute of play forced Santaquin's goalkeeper Giovanni Chase to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Wasco booed when Santaquin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexis Bermudez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfred Hinkle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfred Hinkle had several of the Santaquin's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 87 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-3 score and a disappointed Giovanni Chase as he didn't even see the shot coming. 94 minutes into the match, Wasco's goal looked a bit too open when Cesar Roark came free, but Benito Pearson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Wasco getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Sonny Kent hit a great ball. Derrick Yates fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Pearson having to interfere. Wasco's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
