Spectators: 7068 (Terracing: 5570, Seating: 1350, VIP seats: 148) West Milford's Cary Begay started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Rodger Barber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, West Milford's Earl Harvey got a free kick in the 4th minute. After having played for 16 minutes, Clinton Benavides managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jacinto City FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clinton Benavides was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rodger Barber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Dale King tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, West Milford's Tracey Shearer got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 27th minute Christian Vaughn managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cary Begay in the 31st minute of play forced Jacinto City FC's goalkeeper Francesco Cuevas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cary Begay in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Francesco Cuevas saved Jacinto City FC from getting behind. If Rodger Barber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to West Milford getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Earl Harvey hit a great ball. Christian Vaughn, 38 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 42nd minute Patrick Waters shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francesco Cuevas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Clinton Benavides had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rodger Barber to strike the kick off in the second half. Earl Harvey was shown his second yellow card after 54 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Earl Harvey hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. When Rodger Barber came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Jacinto City FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodger Barber couldn't finish the play. West Milford's Patrick Waters got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Francesco Cuevas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Patrick Waters in the 67th minute. Patrick Waters fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francesco Cuevas having to interfere. Emanuel Crenshaw charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emanuel Crenshaw the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 76th minute, Emanuel Crenshaw hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The attack was good, but when Patrick Waters in the 80th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Dale King took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodger Barber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patrick Waters sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Francesco Cuevas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leland Dougherty in the 93rd minute. Rodger Barber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Dale King tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
