Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rufus Newman started the match with the kick off. Rufus Newman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 7 minutes, Rufus Newman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Denair FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rufus Newman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 8th match minute, New Martinsville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefan Mixon to maneuver through the defense. Bill Lyle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Weldon Leary, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, New Martinsville's Alberto Kirkpatrick got a free kick in the 24th minute. In the 27thth minute of the game Darrel Albright who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but New Martinsville's Arturo Gillespie was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arturo Gillespie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rufus Newman in the 31st minute of play. Chase Tolbert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 47 minutes into the match, Denair FC's Rufus Newman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arturo Gillespie narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Weldon Leary to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Weldon Leary in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bill Lyle saved Denair FC from getting behind. 57 minutes into the match, Denair FC's Darrel Albright sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arturo Gillespie narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rocco Vance hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. If Rufus Newman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rufus Newman in the 65th minute of play forced New Martinsville's goalkeeper Arturo Gillespie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 77 minutes, Rufus Newman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Denair FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rufus Newman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bill Arellano took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 79th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Arturo Gillespie. New Martinsville's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Darrel Albright received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Arturo Gillespie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st match minute, New Martinsville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Steiner to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of New Martinsville booed when Denair FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Willie Meyers didn't get a good kick on the ball. Milton Enriquez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bill Lyle having to make a save. Weldon Leary took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bill Lyle. Bill Lyle dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The audience was convinced that Rufus Newman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arturo Gillespie was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
