Rodolfo Alexander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Royce Zamora, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Royce Zamora sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Franklin Moseley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darius Ellison in the 34th minute of the match. Rene Kruse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Lake Los Angeles AFC's Royce Zamora in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Fair Lawn FC's goalie prevented a goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Darius Ellison stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darius Ellison in the 86th minute of play forced Lake Los Angeles AFC's goalkeeper Franklin Moseley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Scott Mullen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Alexander having to interfere. Scott Mullen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rodolfo Alexander having to make a save. Rodolfo Alexander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Royce Zamora, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 93 minutes of play, Lake Los Angeles AFC's Royce Zamora made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rodolfo Alexander was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rene Kruse struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Franklin Moseley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fair Lawn FC.
