Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jonah Milligan got the match started through his kick off. After 2 played minutes New Baden got a freekick which was hit by Santos Pollard. When Yong Minor fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dupont AFC's protests and gave Yong Minor a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of New Baden booed when Dupont AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yong Minor didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8th minute Troy Charles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basil Ray saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Petrică Pavalescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basil Ray having to interfere. Basil Ray made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brian Farrell in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th of the match, Jonah Milligan tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Ted Tyler got in the way and made a wonderful save. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Andrew Gibbons managed to get in a good position for a shot. New Baden's supporters rose to their feet, but Andrew Gibbons was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ted Tyler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 20 minutes into the match, Dupont AFC's goalkeeper Ted Tyler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andrew Gibbons. Andrew Gibbons who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Ted Tyler when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 26 minutes, Troy Charles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dupont AFC and the New Baden players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of New Baden booed when Dupont AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Troy Charles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stanton Stuart, 27 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a rather tough play, Dupont AFC's Troy Charles got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 30th minute, New Baden's Andrew Gibbons ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ted Tyler. Ted Tyler yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 34th match minute, Dupont AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sheldon Samuel to maneuver through the defense. After 38 played minutes New Baden got a freekick which was hit by Laurence Rowley. Dupont AFC's Ted Tyler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonah Milligan in the 43rd minute of play. Jonah Milligan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Ted Tyler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

New Baden's Basil Ray played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roque Acevedo in the 52nd minute of play. Petrică Pavalescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Basil Ray made a huge save. 53 minutes into the game, Dane Acosta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. New Baden's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dupont AFC the free kick. In the 54th match minute, New Baden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dane Acosta to maneuver through the defense. Roque Acevedo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Basil Ray when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Roque Acevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basil Ray having to interfere. Laurence Rowley's late challenge caught a Dupont AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Laurence Rowley helped the player get up and apologised. Petrică Pavalescu struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Basil Ray didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dupont AFC. Basil Ray made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roque Acevedo in the 65th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roque Acevedo in the 67th minute of play forced New Baden's goalkeeper Basil Ray to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonah Milligan in the 72nd minute of play forced Dupont AFC's goalkeeper Ted Tyler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ted Tyler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrew Gibbons in the 74th minute of play. Santos Pollard kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. After 81 minutes, Roque Acevedo made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. New Baden's Basil Ray tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Sheldon Samuel hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. 85 minutes into the match, Dupont AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Andrew Gibbons came free, but Ted Tyler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andrew Gibbons struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Ted Tyler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for New Baden. Dupont AFC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
