Jasper Handy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Dan Ruth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rick Lawson charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rick Lawson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jasper Handy might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dan Ruth. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jasper Handy ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 22nd minute, Andy Kennedy ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dan Ruth was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 24 minutes, Richie Lake mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mint Hill and the Indianola players grew even worse after the yellow card. Richie Lake hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute, Andy Kennedy left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Indianola fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After having played for 36 minutes, Dylan Spaulding managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mint Hill's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dylan Spaulding was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 38 minutes into the match, Mint Hill's goal looked a bit too open when Jasper Handy came free, but Dan Ruth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Terence Heath had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christopher Mayberry didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dylan Spaulding went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andy Kennedy to make the kick off. Andy Kennedy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Ruth having to interfere. Jasper Handy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jasper Handy struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Dan Ruth didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Indianola. In the last second Dan Ruth throw himself and got hold of the ball when Andy Kennedy in the 67thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Andy Kennedy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Ruth having to interfere. Dan Ruth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andy Kennedy in the 74th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Dylan Spaulding ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christopher Mayberry was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. After some careless play in the Indianola defense, Rick Lawson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christopher Mayberry. The Indianola fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christopher Mayberry should have stopped the shot. When Richie Lake was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 91 minutes had been played. Richie Lake kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, Andy Kennedy left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Indianola fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-3. Mint Hill's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
