After 14 minutes, Aidan Forrest mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Colonial and the Fultondale AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 16th minute, Roland Burrell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tony Altman's late challenge caught a Fultondale AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tony Altman helped the player get up and apologised. After 28 played minutes Colonial got a freekick which was hit by Tony Altman. Colonial's Sergio Jacobs proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Colonial from getting a goal against them. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Colonial's goalkeeper Sergio Jacobs, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Fultondale AFC booed when Colonial was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tad Garner didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Zachariah Diamond had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roland Burrell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Sergio Jacobs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zachariah Diamond fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergio Jacobs having to interfere. The throw-in from Dalton King in the 75th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Fultondale AFC's Jessie Morrow. In the 77th minute, Roland Burrell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Zachariah Diamond had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rolf Salazar hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 92nd minute Zachariah Diamond shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergio Jacobs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Colonial defense, Roland Burrell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sergio Jacobs. The Colonial fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sergio Jacobs should have stopped the shot. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
