Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Kraig Shirley started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eddy Dutton got free with Joey James in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Boyce McIntosh might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joey James. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Boyce McIntosh ran back to his position shaking his head. Eddy Dutton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Joey James tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Boyce McIntosh came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the McFarland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Boyce McIntosh couldn't finish the play. In the 16th minute, Eddy Dutton ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joey James was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Rene Tipton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rory Dent took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kraig Shirley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Boyce McIntosh to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Chickasaw's Kraig Shirley ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rory Dent. Rory Dent yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1.
