After some careless play in the HighGear defense, Mario Phipps kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roger Jenkins. The HighGear fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roger Jenkins should have stopped the shot. After 14th play minutes Jeremias Vidal shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Stephan Chang and just under the crossbar into goal. Stephan Chang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thobias Valcke, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. The supporters of Mountain rangers 2 booed when HighGear was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bradley Bradford didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stephan Chang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias Vidal in the 29th minute of play. Thobias Valcke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Stephan Chang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Melvin Dias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mountain rangers 2's supporters rose to their feet, but Melvin Dias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roger Jenkins breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stephan Chang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias Vidal in the 35th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeremias Vidal in the 41st minute of play forced Mountain rangers 2's goalkeeper Stephan Chang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Mountain rangers 2's goal looked a bit too open when Thobias Valcke came free, but Stephan Chang reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jeremias Vidal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Mountain rangers 2 getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Melvin Dias hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute, Thobias Valcke fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 76th minute Thobias Valcke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stephan Chang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Stephan Chang managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when HighGear's Jeremias Vidal fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 79 played minutes Mountain rangers 2 got a freekick which was hit by Roy Spears. Through an outstanding action, after 80 minutes, Stephan Chang successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 82nd minute, Thobias Valcke made a precise shot to the right of Stephan Chang. Mountain rangers 2's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. A hard shot 85 in the game by Jeremias Vidal from a close distance when the talented Stephan Chang managed to make a qualified save. Mountain rangers 2's players were relieved. In the 87th minute of the match, Jeremias Vidal got a very nice opportunity to score, but Stephan Chang was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 90th minute, Jeremias Vidal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the final whistle sounded HighGear left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Mountain rangers 2.
