To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 36 minutes into the game, Dexter Mills was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. McDonald FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hilton Head Island the free kick. Dexter Mills kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Rolland Singletary charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rolland Singletary the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Terrance Roark in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anson Otero saved Hilton Head Island from getting behind. Conrad Carter's late challenge caught a McDonald FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Conrad Carter helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of McDonald FC booed when Hilton Head Island was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conrad Carter didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60thth minute of the game Richie Espinosa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but McDonald FC's Rich Trotter was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rich Trotter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richie Espinosa in the 61st minute of the match. Rich Trotter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richie Espinosa in the 67th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Richie Espinosa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rich Trotter was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. In the 70th minute, Terrance Roark got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lawrence Kay in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rich Trotter prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Lawrence Kay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rich Trotter was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Hilton Head Island's Anson Otero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Terrance Roark in the 86th minute of play. If Richie Espinosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lawrence Kay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rich Trotter having to interfere. Richie Espinosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
