Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Laurence Uster took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute, Tomahawk AFC's Laurence Uster dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Armando Rubio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Russ Drew tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Laurence Uster had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Russ Drew made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jermaine Grove in the 30th minute of play. With a little luck, Peotone FC's Brock Alston got control of the ball when Darell Davidson tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 33rd minute of the match Tomahawk AFC got a corner. Peotone FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edmund Call ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Tomahawk AFC's Emerson Sparks to fire away a dangerous shot which Brock Alston despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Laurence Uster fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brock Alston having to interfere. Rene Richardson's late challenge caught a Tomahawk AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rene Richardson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 46th match minute, Peotone FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rene Richardson to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Armando Rubio to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Tomahawk AFC's Laurence Uster nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Brock Alston made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. If Darell Davidson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Russ Drew showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Rubio, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Armando Rubio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 65 played minutes Tomahawk AFC got a freekick which was hit by Edmund Call. A collision led to Tomahawk AFC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Jerome Carmichael hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Laurence Uster in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brock Alston prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Charlie Ortega charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Charlie Ortega the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Tomahawk AFC booed when Peotone FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charlie Ortega didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 81 minutes, Darell Davidson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tomahawk AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Darell Davidson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 82nd minute of the game. One of Peotone FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tomahawk AFC:s goal. Laurence Uster sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 88 minutes into the match, Peotone FC's goal looked a bit too open when Darell Davidson came free, but Brock Alston reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rene Richardson was shown his second yellow card after 88 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 89 played minutes Peotone FC got a freekick which was hit by Rene Richardson. 90 minutes into the match, Tomahawk AFC's Edmund Call broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 92nd minute Laurence Uster shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brock Alston saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Russ Drew made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jermaine Grove in the 99th minute. Tomahawk AFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Peotone FC for a fine match.
