Waylon Starkey who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 5thth minute tested the skills of Winston Mason when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 7 minutes into the game, Waylon Starkey cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Winston Mason was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 11th minute, Kyle Sears got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. CAI's Florian Noel got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Brendon Duff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florian Noel in the 15th minute of play. When Oscar Holder came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Jeffersonville fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oscar Holder couldn't finish the play. In the 20th minute Oscar Holder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Winston Mason saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Florian Noel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Brendon Duff was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Brendon Duff took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kyle Sears, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute, Oscar Holder got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 39th minute, Donny Bautista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Waylon Starkey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute Jeffersonville were awarded a corner. Wilber Kuhn went to the cornerflag to take it. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oscar Holder was the one to do the kick off. CAI's Winston Mason played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waylon Starkey in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th match minute, CAI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ollie Carnes to maneuver through the defense. Winston Mason showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waylon Starkey, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Florian Noel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Brendon Duff made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kyle Sears in the 59th minute of play forced Jeffersonville's goalkeeper Brendon Duff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Waylon Starkey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Florian Noel got free with Brendon Duff in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Florian Noel came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the CAI fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Florian Noel couldn't finish the play. 66 minutes in the game, Florian Noel fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Brendon Duff having to interfere. After having played for 69 minutes, Kyle Sears managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CAI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kyle Sears was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Oscar Holder scored 2-0 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Winston Mason, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 76 minutes, Oscar Holder managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jeffersonville's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oscar Holder was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Oscar Holder managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jeffersonville's supporters rose to their feet, but Oscar Holder was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Winston Mason breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. CAI's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
