The supporters of Day Heights FC booed when 9 de Octubre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorenzo Ramey didn't get a good kick on the ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aurelio Sargent was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Jasper May managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 9 de Octubre's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jasper May was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 60th match minute, 9 de Octubre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laurence Velasquez to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Day Heights FC's Jamal Saldana threw himself towards the right post 62 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Aurelio Sargent, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 65 minutes into the match, Day Heights FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joshua Triplett came free, but Devon Joyner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Devon Joyner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joshua Triplett in the 69th minute of the match. If Sammy Padgett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute Aurelio Sargent shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jamal Saldana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Aurelio Sargent took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Jamal Saldana to make any attempt to save it. After some careless play in the Day Heights FC defense, Joshua Triplett kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Devon Joyner. The Day Heights FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Devon Joyner should have stopped the shot. Day Heights FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
