Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) Douglas Howell started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leon Grove in the 10th minute of play forced Minneapolis's goalkeeper Duane Brownell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Denny Mallory sped through Minneapolis's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Duane Brownell. After 16 played minutes Osprey FC got a freekick which was hit by Leon Grove. Leon Grove sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 23 minutes of play, Osprey FC's Denny Mallory made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Duane Brownell was left in no man's land by his defense there! Duane Brownell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leon Grove in the 27th minute of play. After 30 played minutes Minneapolis got a freekick which was hit by Graham Edmonds. Denny Mallory recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 33 minutes into the match, Minneapolis's goal looked a bit too open when Leon Grove came free, but Duane Brownell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leon Grove fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duane Brownell having to interfere. In the 38th minute Leon Grove shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duane Brownell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute, Denny Mallory ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Duane Brownell was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Denny Mallory received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Duane Brownell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leon Grove sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Minneapolis players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Osprey FC were winning 0-3.

The wind increased when Denny Mallory made the kick off in the second half. Denny Mallory fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duane Brownell having to interfere. A collision led to Osprey FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Denny Mallory hit a great ball. In the 56th minute, Osprey FC's Denny Mallory fired away a free kick that almost went in the goal, but it hit the crossbar and went out into the crowd. A collision led to Minneapolis getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Colby Pennington hit a great ball. Osprey FC's Joaquin Tipton couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 58th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Minneapolis. Duane Brownell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denny Mallory, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. After some careless play in the Minneapolis defense, Denny Mallory kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Duane Brownell. The Minneapolis fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Duane Brownell should have stopped the shot. Duane Brownell made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leon Grove in the 67th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 69 minutes, Duane Brownell successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Leon Grove sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Denny Mallory fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duane Brownell having to interfere. Osprey FC's Leon Grove got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Leon Grove came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Osprey FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leon Grove couldn't finish the play. Duane Brownell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denny Mallory in the 86th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Sal Clemons made a precise shot to the right of Manuel Hoyt. Osprey FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. After 90 played minutes Osprey FC got a freekick which was hit by Denny Mallory. 94 minutes into the match, Leon Grove had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Duane Brownell. Minneapolis's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leon Grove was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. Osprey FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
