In the 15th match minute, Dolgeville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexis Thomason to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Dolgeville getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Weldon Sullivan hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Junior Penn in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sergio Hensley saved Dolgeville from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Adolfo Hays managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dolgeville's supporters rose to their feet, but Adolfo Hays was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernando Storr breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adolfo Hays received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Fernando Storr tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernando Storr made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolfo Hays in the 29th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Dolgeville's Alexis Thomason got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Blackwood's Junior Penn got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Clinton Paige to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Dolgeville's zone, Deshawn Hand stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sergio Hensley came out of the goal and Deshawn Hand tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 54 played minutes Blackwood got a freekick which was hit by Austin Barlow. An unexpected shot in the 56th minute by Adolfo Hays got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Clinton Paige recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adolfo Hays's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 58thth minute, Fernando Storr skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The attack was good, but when Clinton Paige in the 63rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Adolfo Hays fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Storr having to interfere. Deshawn Hand blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sergio Hensley having to make a save. If Deshawn Hand had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernando Storr made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clinton Paige in the 72nd minute of play. Adolfo Hays received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Fernando Storr tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gerald Waite during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 74th match minute, Blackwood was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerald Waite to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute, Deshawn Hand got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sergio Hensley stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Deshawn Hand's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Deshawn Hand sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Blackwood's Leland Sheffield pulled a muscle in his back after 95 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 96 played minutes Dolgeville got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Hays. When the referee blew the final whistle, Blackwood could leave the field as winners, despite Dolgeville having more of the ball for most of the match.
