Spectators: 6690 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1690, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Kerry Ackerman kicked off to start the match. Kerry Ackerman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Jason MacDonald tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Walker Crowley fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cloverleaf's protests and gave Walker Crowley a yellow card for diving instead. In the 5th minute, one of Cloverleaf:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cloverleaf. 7 minutes into the game, Ray Torrez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jason MacDonald was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Kerry Ackerman came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Wickliffe AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kerry Ackerman couldn't finish the play. 15 minutes into the match, Cloverleaf's Fred Chen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that DeAngelo Albrecht narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 21 minutes into the match, Cloverleaf's goal looked a bit too open when Murray Purvis came free, but Jason MacDonald reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Wickliffe AFC's Garth Echols got a free kick in the 22nd minute. The audience was convinced that Kerry Ackerman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jason MacDonald was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. After having played for 33 minutes, Kerry Ackerman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wickliffe AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kerry Ackerman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kerry Ackerman in the 35th minute of play forced Cloverleaf's goalkeeper Jason MacDonald to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolland Farmer charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rolland Farmer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Cloverleaf's Rolland Farmer got a free kick in the 36th minute. After the first half Wickliffe AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joseph Hooper stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fred Chen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Joseph Hooper received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. DeAngelo Albrecht tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joseph Hooper in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg DeAngelo Albrecht saved Wickliffe AFC from getting behind. 57 minutes into the match, Cloverleaf's goal looked a bit too open when Kerry Ackerman came free, but Jason MacDonald reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kerry Ackerman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 66 minutes, Murray Purvis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wickliffe AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Murray Purvis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 73rd minute of the game. One of Wickliffe AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cloverleaf:s goal. The referee gave Cloverleaf a penalty, 75 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Walker Crowley, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Wickliffe AFC's DeAngelo Albrecht. 1-1. DeAngelo Albrecht came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Cloverleaf's Fred Chen. But to his dismay, Fred Chen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Murray Purvis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. DeAngelo Albrecht showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fred Chen in the 92nd minute of the match. Joseph Hooper struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. DeAngelo Albrecht didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cloverleaf. For all the effort they put into the match, the Wickliffe AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Cloverleaf.
