Spectators: 7293 (Terracing: 5574, Seating: 1709, VIP seats: 10) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Austin Paige took the kick off in the first half of the match. Nelson Maddox recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darrell Melendez in the 8th minute of play forced Weehawken's goalkeeper Titus Spence to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Weehawken's Genaro Herrera slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rolf Morgan. That made the score 1-0 after 10 minutes of play. In the 13th minute, Genaro Herrera reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rolf Morgan. The goal made the score 2-0. 16 minutes into the game, one of West Haven:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Weehawken's Nelson Maddox got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nelson Maddox sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute, Darrell Melendez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Titus Spence was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Genaro Herrera might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rolf Morgan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Genaro Herrera ran back to his position shaking his head. Rolf Morgan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nelson Maddox in the 37th minute. Rolf Morgan made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Nelson Maddox sent off a good shot on target. Rolf Morgan didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 47th minute, which inside left pole to 4-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nelson Maddox to strike the kick off in the second half. Titus Spence made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Austin Paige in the 54th minute of play. Rolf Morgan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Genaro Herrera went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 6-1 when Genaro Herrera sped through West Haven's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rolf Morgan. In the 64th minute Nelson Maddox shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolf Morgan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Weehawken's goalkeeper Titus Spence had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Archie Smalls. In the 66th minute Nigel Cordova shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Titus Spence saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolf Morgan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nelson Maddox's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. 70 minutes into the game, Genaro Herrera cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-1. Rolf Morgan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 74th minute, Nelson Maddox left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Weehawken fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-1. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind West Haven's goalkeeper Rolf Morgan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Genaro Herrera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Rolf Morgan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in West Haven's zone, Nelson Maddox stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolf Morgan came out of the goal and Nelson Maddox tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rolf Morgan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nelson Maddox went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 9-1 was the resulting score. In the 87th match minute, Weehawken was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rupert Oberle to maneuver through the defense. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Weehawken had played much better football throughout.
