Ajanirr F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave New Buffalo the free kick. In the 8th minute, Wallace Dubose hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Boyd Diggs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chance Larsen in the 13th minute of play forced Ajanirr F.C's goalkeeper Rickie Abel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in New Buffalo's zone, Luciano Brownell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Charlton Burrows came out of the goal and Luciano Brownell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kirby Nunn's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rickie Abel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Rickie Abel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chance Larsen in the 45th minute of the match. 48 minutes into the match, New Buffalo's goalkeeper Charlton Burrows had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ernesto Dodge.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luciano Brownell stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 75th minute, Chance Larsen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rickie Abel came out of the goal and Boyd Diggs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ajanirr F.C's Rickie Abel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Ajanirr F.C from getting a goal against them. In the 95th minute, Chance Larsen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ajanirr F.C fans cheered their team off the field, for while New Buffalo had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
