An unexpectedly hard shot by Silas Tracy in the 10th minute of play forced Missouri Valley's goalkeeper Marc Larkin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 20 minutes, Ruben Dobbins mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Liverpool and the Missouri Valley players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ruben Dobbins kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Silas Tracy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silas Tracy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jed McGinnis got free with Erik Connors in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jed McGinnis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Erik Connors made a huge save. After having played for 39 minutes, Jermaine Rubio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Liverpool's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jermaine Rubio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Missouri Valley's Marc Larkin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silas Tracy in the 41st minute of play. Jermaine Rubio hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Jed McGinnis in the 55th minute of play forced Liverpool's goalkeeper Erik Connors to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erik Connors made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jed McGinnis in the 65th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Ruben Dobbins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marc McIntyre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Connors having to interfere. Erik Connors showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marc McIntyre in the 73rd minute of the match. After having played for 74 minutes, Jed McGinnis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Missouri Valley's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jed McGinnis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 76 minutes into the match, Liverpool's goal looked a bit too open when Marc McIntyre came free, but Erik Connors reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Marc McIntyre had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Erik Connors. Liverpool's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marc McIntyre was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After 83 played minutes Missouri Valley got a freekick which was hit by Colby Aviles. The supporters of Liverpool booed when Missouri Valley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marc McIntyre didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th minute, Jermaine Rubio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Erik Connors made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marc McIntyre in the 88th minute of play. Marc Larkin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silas Tracy in the 91st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jermaine Rubio got free with Marc Larkin in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Danny Munoz kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Missouri Valley fans cheered their team off the field, for while Liverpool had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
