Spectators: 6730 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Donald Kearns took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Ronny Rucker came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Nittany Lions fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronny Rucker couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Donald Kearns's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Willy Durham was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. An unexpected shot in the 11th minute by Russell McKee got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Juan Painter charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juan Painter the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Juan Painter kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 20th minute, Juan Painter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Willis Buckley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nittany Lions's supporters rose to their feet, but Willis Buckley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marco Carlson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rudolph Keys recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Russell McKee came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the San Jacinto FC fans jumped to their feet. After a defensive mix-up in Nittany Lions's zone, Russell McKee stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Willy Durham came out of the goal and Russell McKee tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 37th minute Ronny Rucker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Carlson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Russell McKee managed to get in a good position for a shot. San Jacinto FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Russell McKee was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Willy Durham breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Donald Kearns blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Willy Durham having to make a save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When Rudolph Keys fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored San Jacinto FC's protests and gave Rudolph Keys a yellow card for diving instead. Donald Kearns kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Donald Kearns sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kip Dawkins charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After having played for 83 minutes, Ronny Rucker managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nittany Lions's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronny Rucker was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 0-1 became the score in the 85th minute when Willis Buckley elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Ronny Rucker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Carlson having to interfere. When Kip Dawkins was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 93 minutes had been played. In the 94th match minute, Nittany Lions was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kip Dawkins to maneuver through the defense. After 96 played minutes San Jacinto FC got a freekick which was hit by Russell McKee. Ronny Rucker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The San Jacinto FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Nittany Lions to win.
