In the 24th minute, Santos Baker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bryant Elkins made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luther Ellison in the 30th minute. The supporters of FC VAHE booed when Rancho Cucamonga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Seth Rosas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kent Huber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johnathon Mullen, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stanton Calderwood to make the kick off. Santos Baker scored 2-0 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bryant Elkins, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The nice shot from Stanton Calderwood in the 74thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Kent Huber had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Sung Bragg hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. In the 97th minute of the match Boyce Marion shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bryant Elkins showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rancho Cucamonga were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing FC VAHE to leave the ground with a draw.
