Spectators: 7451 (Terracing: 5590, Seating: 1713, VIP seats: 148) When the match clock showed 4 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Pierre Barber sped through Detroit Lakes FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alfred Lehman. After having played for 9 minutes, Eliseo Looney managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Detroit Lakes FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseo Looney was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oren Malone in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ted Herrera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Detroit Lakes FC's Darryl Hopson got a free kick in the 15th minute. Pierre Barber succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 18th playminute. Miles Ellison received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alfred Lehman came out and tried to block the shot, but Miles Ellison slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 21st minute. In the 26th minute, Oren Malone got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Oren Malone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Ted Herrera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Pierre Barber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfred Lehman was a little too slow when Miles Ellison got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 39th minute. The score was now 4-0. Miles Ellison sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Alfred Lehman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pierre Barber in the 52nd minute of the match. Orlando Barr hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Oren Malone who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Ted Herrera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Oren Malone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfred Lehman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moses Odell in the 65th minute of play. Alfred Lehman had in the 68thth minute some difficulties stopping Morgan Kidd's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Ted Herrera was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eliseo Looney showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-1 in the 77 minute of play. Pierre Barber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Alfred Lehman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfred Lehman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miles Ellison in the 85th minute of play. Fullerton's defense didn't have a chance, in the 89th minute, when Eliseo Looney scored to the left of an out of position Ted Herrera, making the score, 4-2. Oren Malone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ted Herrera having to interfere. In the 99th minute, Duane Toney hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 100 played minutes, Fullerton's Morgan Kidd shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alfred Lehman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fullerton reached it. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Fullerton fans cheered their team off the field, for while Detroit Lakes FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
