Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Andreas Thacker started the match with the kick off. Sherwood Oberle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andreas Thacker could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Val Dickerson made a huge save. If Sherwood Oberle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. D.J. Burns fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pablo Crowley having to interfere. After a rather tough play, West Memphis's Rhett Singh got a free kick in the 25th minute. 26 minutes into the game, Sherwood Oberle cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Val Dickerson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to West Memphis getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Rhett Singh hit a great ball. If Andreas Thacker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 37 played minutes West Memphis got a freekick which was hit by Rhett Singh. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rhett Singh during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Pocola booed when West Memphis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rhett Singh didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for D.J. Burns to strike the kick off in the second half. Val Dickerson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Willy Hensley in the 51st minute of the match. After 73 played minutes West Memphis got a freekick which was hit by Ward Rosales. In the 74thth minute of the game Andreas Thacker who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but West Memphis's Val Dickerson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Merlin Fritz was extremely unlucky when he, in the 76th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After some careless play in the West Memphis defense, Sherwood Oberle kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Val Dickerson. The West Memphis fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Val Dickerson should have stopped the shot. Sherwood Oberle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
