Emerson Abbott's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Monty Luther read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. In the 42nd match minute, Wickenburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walker Coulter to maneuver through the defense. 43 minutes into the match, Wickenburg's goal looked a bit too open when Emerson Abbott came free, but Monty Luther reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute of the match Lake Sarasota got a corner. Wickenburg's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Garret Donahue ran over to the corner to take the kick. During the 46th minute of the match Walker Coulter completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Walker Coulter a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Wickenburg's Monty Luther played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garret Donahue in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emerson Abbott was the one to do the kick off. If Emerson Abbott had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Reinaldo Chase struck a weak shot in the 55th minute.
