In the last second Lane Stoddard throw himself and got hold of the ball when Eliseo Talbot in the 18thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Ridgefield FC's Francis Squires was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lane Stoddard in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Willy Solis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bill Cassidy having to interfere. Darryl Walter's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bill Cassidy read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in London AFC's zone, Eliseo Talbot stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lane Stoddard came out of the goal and Eliseo Talbot tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Darryl Walter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bill Cassidy having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Santos Nolan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. London AFC's Willy Solis got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Ridgefield FC defense, Darryl Walter kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bill Cassidy. The Ridgefield FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bill Cassidy should have stopped the shot. In the 45th match minute, London AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Beard to maneuver through the defense. Fernando Manning sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Lane Stoddard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Talbot in the 71st minute of the match. Eliseo Talbot recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 90th minute, one of London AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for London AFC. Santos Nolan hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. When Darryl Walter came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the London AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Darryl Walter couldn't finish the play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
