Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Sammy Middleton made the kick off which started today's match. The supporters of Black Soul booed when Pine Island was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adolfo Santiago didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 8 minutes, Charlie Forrest managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Black Soul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Charlie Forrest was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Pine Island getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Adolfo Santiago hit a great ball. When Black Soul's Sammy Middleton in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pine Island's goalie prevented a goal. Sammy Middleton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Charlie Forrest had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 15 minutes into the match, Pine Island's goal looked a bit too open when Sammy Middleton came free, but Derrick Lucero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Werner Ng in the 16th minute of play forced Pine Island's goalkeeper Derrick Lucero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Sammy Middleton notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Pine Island's Derrick Lucero. Derrick Lucero was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sammy Middleton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Derrick Lucero having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Gregorio Gomez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 29 minutes into the game, Black Soul's Sammy Middleton nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Derrick Lucero made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Pine Island's Reyes Dickens suffered a sprained foot after 33 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 34 minutes, Rey Kinney mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Black Soul and the Pine Island players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 33 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Black Soul! Bruce Walls placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! When Clay Randle came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Black Soul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clay Randle couldn't finish the play. Sammy Middleton blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Derrick Lucero having to make a save.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gregorio Gomez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Chris Chaney got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 61 minutes into the match, Black Soul's goal looked a bit too open when Gregorio Gomez came free, but Brady Frey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 65 minutes, Gregorio Gomez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pine Island's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gregorio Gomez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Sammy Middleton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Clay Randle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sammy Middleton who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Derrick Lucero when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregorio Gomez in the 87th minute of play forced Black Soul's goalkeeper Brady Frey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sammy Middleton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Derrick Lucero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sammy Middleton blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Derrick Lucero having to make a save. Derrick Lucero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clay Randle, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregorio Gomez in the 95th minute of play forced Black Soul's goalkeeper Brady Frey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Black Soul's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
