Dale Busch's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 5thth minute, Waldo Bonds skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ollie Ring struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Brock Dickinson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lancaster. 11 minutes into the match, Saugerties South's goal looked a bit too open when Ollie Ring came free, but Brock Dickinson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute Ollie Ring shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brock Dickinson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 16 in the game by Dale Busch from a close distance when the talented Waldo Bonds managed to make a qualified save. Lancaster's players were relieved. Lancaster's Waldo Bonds played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lonnie Chaney in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Lonnie Chaney reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Waldo Bonds. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 23rd minute Dale Busch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldo Bonds saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Lonnie Chaney's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Waldo Bonds was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Dale Busch who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Waldo Bonds when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 33rd minute, Dale Busch ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Waldo Bonds was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 36th match minute, Lancaster was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tom Rosenthal to maneuver through the defense. Lancaster's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Dale Busch scored to the left of an out of position Waldo Bonds, making the score, 3-0. Dale Busch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldo Bonds having to interfere. 47 minutes into the game, one of Saugerties South:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Chance Corbin walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dale Busch was the one to do the kick off. If Lonnie Chaney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 61 minutes into the match, Saugerties South's Lonnie Chaney sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Waldo Bonds narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sylvester Farrar got free with Brock Dickinson in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dale Busch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th match minute, Lancaster was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sylvester Farrar to maneuver through the defense. If Dale Busch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sylvester Farrar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brock Dickinson made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Theron Griffith sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Lancaster defense, Dale Busch kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Waldo Bonds. The Lancaster fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Waldo Bonds should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Dale Busch's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Waldo Bonds was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. If Lonnie Chaney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Waldo Bonds stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dale Busch's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Waldo Bonds came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Saugerties South's Lonnie Chaney. But to his dismay, Lonnie Chaney quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Lancaster's Waldo Bonds played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dale Busch in the 96th minute of play. There was no doubt that Saugerties South were the better team. Saugerties South's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
