The referee ignored Z07's protests and gave Gilberto Olson a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Z07 getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Gilberto Olson hit a great ball. Thad Dolan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Evan Beltran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 14 played minutes, Z07's Kristofer Koch shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Evan Beltran came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Z07 reached it. Evan Beltran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thad Dolan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Z07's Gavin Harmon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stephan Jorgensen in the 22nd minute of play. Evan Beltran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thad Dolan in the 26th minute of play. Evan Solomon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Z07's Evan Solomon got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Elmsford's Evan Beltran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thad Dolan in the 38th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evan Solomon in the 42nd minute of play forced Elmsford's goalkeeper Evan Beltran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thad Dolan struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Evan Beltran didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Z07.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Thad Dolan was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Thad Dolan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Evan Beltran. That made the score 0-1 in the 53 minute of play. In the 59th minute Thad Dolan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evan Beltran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute, Evan Solomon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 61st minute Evan Solomon suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Jake Mayes fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. In the 85th minute, Antoine Zavala hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Thad Dolan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Z07's Thad Dolan in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Elmsford's goalie prevented a goal. Stewart Choi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Elmsford's zone, Thad Dolan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evan Beltran came out of the goal and Thad Dolan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 96 minutes, Thad Dolan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Z07's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thad Dolan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
