Spectators: 6707 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1707, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jarrod Roberts kicked off to start the match. Don Easley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Peterson in the 3rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Duke London in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Don Easley prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 0-1 became the score in the 6th minute when Eliseo Peterson elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Jarrod Roberts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jack Denne having to interfere. In the 12th match minute, Hesperia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antony Ritchie to maneuver through the defense. Jarrod Roberts struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Jack Denne didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for South Salt Lake FC. Calvin Dietz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Jack Denne made a huge save. Duke London might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Don Easley. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Duke London ran back to his position shaking his head. If Eliseo Peterson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Duke London sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in South Salt Lake FC's zone, Eliseo Peterson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Don Easley came out of the goal and Eliseo Peterson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Don Easley didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Duke London went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Duke London fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Don Easley having to interfere. South Salt Lake FC's Don Easley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duke London in the 46th minute of play. Duke London took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Don Easley. Don Easley dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eliseo Peterson to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the game, Eliseo Peterson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Don Easley was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Calvin Dietz in the 60th minute of play forced Hesperia FC's goalkeeper Jack Denne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Calvin Dietz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Jack Denne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jarrod Roberts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jack Denne having to interfere. Eliseo Peterson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Don Easley having to make a save. Jack Denne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jarrod Roberts in the 75th minute of play. Daryl Hopson kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After having played for 81 minutes, Calvin Dietz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. South Salt Lake FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Calvin Dietz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jack Denne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Calvin Dietz in the 83rd minute of play. Marcos Gallo hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After having played for 85 minutes, Jarrod Roberts managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. South Salt Lake FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jarrod Roberts was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daryl Hopson hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. South Salt Lake FC's Calvin Dietz got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hesperia FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
