Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) La Gorda Fc's Raphael Hammond started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of La Gorda Fc booed when Mellow FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Palmer Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Riley Cordova kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Rob Youngblood could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Loren Crane made a huge save. In the 11th minute Rod Cantrell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Loren Crane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, La Gorda Fc's goalkeeper Loren Crane had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anson Murphy. If Anson Murphy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of La Gorda Fc booed when Mellow FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anson Murphy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edgardo McNeal took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Drew Key. Drew Key dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Rod Cantrell kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Loren Crane. That made the score 1-1 in the 24 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anson Murphy in the 28th minute of play forced La Gorda Fc's goalkeeper Loren Crane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Loren Crane was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rod Cantrell showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 29 minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Mellow FC's Rod Cantrell dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. Raphael Hammond charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raphael Hammond the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Loren Crane was out of position in the 43 minute of play, and Rod Cantrell capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rod Cantrell really showed his touch with that goal: 5-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rob Youngblood made a kick off. A collision led to La Gorda Fc getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Rudolf Palacios hit a great ball. 54 minutes into the match, Randy Mayfield had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Loren Crane. La Gorda Fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Randy Mayfield was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgardo McNeal got free with Drew Key in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 59 minutes, Rob Youngblood mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mellow FC and the La Gorda Fc players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Mellow FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Rob Youngblood hit a great ball. 60 minutes into the match, Rod Cantrell had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Loren Crane. La Gorda Fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rod Cantrell was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-1. Rod Cantrell took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Loren Crane. Loren Crane dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-1. After a rather tough play, Mellow FC's Rob Youngblood got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 73rd minute Rod Cantrell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Loren Crane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Loren Crane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rod Cantrell in the 77th minute of play. A collision led to Mellow FC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Rob Youngblood hit a great ball. Loren Crane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rod Cantrell in the 84th minute of play. In the 86th match minute, La Gorda Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tad Grant to maneuver through the defense. In the 86th minute of the match Rod Cantrell sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Loren Crane skillfully saved the ball. Loren Crane showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rod Cantrell, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Raphael Hammond received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Drew Key tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mellow FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
