After 20 played minutes David Murphy rounded York Football Club's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. After 23 minutes of play, Los Angeles's Derrick German made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jarvis Huston was left in no man's land by his defense there! David Murphy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Jarvis Huston tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jarvis Huston made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sammy Bennett in the 28th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Los Angeles's zone, Ignacio Wheeler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lino Bogdanović came out of the goal and Ignacio Wheeler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 37 minutes into the game, Duncan Martinez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. York Football Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los Angeles the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 36th minute of the game. One of York Football Club:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Los Angeles:s goal. When the match had been going on for 38 minutes, Los Angeles's Derrick German got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Jarvis Huston. If Norbert Aragon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in York Football Club's zone, Wawrzyniec Kosowski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jarvis Huston came out of the goal and Wawrzyniec Kosowski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jarvis Huston made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Derrick German sent off a good shot on target.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ignacio Wheeler was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, York Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jordan Burr to maneuver through the defense. Jarvis Huston made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Derrick German in the 55th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, York Football Club's Marcellus Silver sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lino Bogdanović narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Norbert Aragon hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ignacio Wheeler in the 63rd minute of play forced Los Angeles's goalkeeper Lino Bogdanović to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mason Cegielski kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. In the 73rd match minute, York Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mason Cegielski to maneuver through the defense. Jarvis Huston took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Murphy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcellus Silver made a great header on York Football Club's corner, it was just that Los Angeles's Lino Bogdanović managed to reach the ball for a save. The supporters of York Football Club booed when Los Angeles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicholas Rosenthal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Derrick German recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in York Football Club's zone, Bartolo Alonso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jarvis Huston came out of the goal and Bartolo Alonso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcellus Silver came free with the goalkeeper in the 90th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Lino Bogdanović could save by the left post. The supporters of Los Angeles booed when York Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duncan Martinez didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee ended the match the Los Angeles players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
