With his leg Porter Parker managed to avoid a goal in the 5thth minute, when Rebels's Reginald Spangler fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Connor Colvin in the 9th minute of play forced Rebels's goalkeeper Corneliu Potra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Corneliu Potra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Terry Yu in the 11th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Randell Thacker in the 18th minute of play forced Rebels's goalkeeper Corneliu Potra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Reginald Spangler had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Porter Parker. Easley's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Reginald Spangler was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Reginald Spangler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Porter Parker made a huge save. Reginald Spangler's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 29thth minute, Porter Parker skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Porter Parker made an important save on a dangerous shot by Reginald Spangler in the 31st minute. In the 31st match minute, Rebels was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by John Hubbard to maneuver through the defense. Connor Colvin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Corneliu Potra read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Porter Parker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reginald Spangler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dwayne Gorman to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Reginald Spangler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Porter Parker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Szymon Klocko hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Corneliu Potra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from DeMarcus Waller in the 58th minute of play. If Reginald Spangler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 62 minutes, Reginald Spangler managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rebels's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reginald Spangler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jack Tidwell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Porter Parker stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Reginald Spangler's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Reginald Spangler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Porter Parker having to interfere. The Rebels fans' excitement grew in the 78th match minute when Rebels's Reginald Spangler looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Panos Kokkinis hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. DeMarcus Waller hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. In the 87th minute of the match Szymon Klocko shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Porter Parker showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Reginald Spangler's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Porter Parker was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. If Dwayne Gorman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Rebels had won after a very even match.
