Spectators: 6716 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Willis Albert started the match with the kick off. After 3 played minutes East Douglas got a freekick which was hit by Archie Dorsey. Quentin Dahlstrom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Keenan McGraw tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Willis Albert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Berry Baker's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nigel Kinsey was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Wauconda's Nigel Kinsey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Valle in the 27th minute of play. In the 28th minute of the match, Grady Wilson got a very nice opportunity to score, but Keenan McGraw was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Flint Blake received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Nigel Kinsey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. East Douglas's Berry Baker got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 45th minute, Berry Baker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Steve Eaton kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After 48 minutes Wauconda's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Titus Perry who took care of the corner kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Quentin Dahlstrom made the kick off in the second half. Wauconda's Nigel Kinsey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Willis Albert in the 54th minute of play. In the 58th minute Willis Albert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nigel Kinsey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Willis Albert in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nigel Kinsey saved Wauconda from getting behind. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wauconda's goalkeeper Nigel Kinsey, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Flint Blake fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored East Douglas's protests and gave Flint Blake a yellow card for diving instead. After 75 played minutes East Douglas got a freekick which was hit by Flint Blake. Quentin Dahlstrom might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Keenan McGraw. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Quentin Dahlstrom ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Wauconda getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Johnathan Kelly hit a great ball. In the 88th match minute, East Douglas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flint Blake to maneuver through the defense. Grady Wilson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. East Douglas were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
